Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-12.

This policy explains what data is collected when you visit this site, who collects it, and the choices you have. This is a static website: it has no user accounts, comments or forms, and the site itself does not store any personal information about you.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served through Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront). Like any web server, the CDN may process technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time of the request in order to deliver the page and protect the service from abuse. This data is not used to identify you.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as device identifiers and local storage) to serve ads, to limit how often you see an ad, to measure ad performance and — where you have given consent — to show ads based on your interests and previous visits to this and other websites.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message provided by Google’s certified consent management platform (Google Privacy & messaging, which implements the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) is shown before personalized advertising cookies are set. You can accept, reject or customize your choices, and you can change them at any time using the “Privacy and cookie settings” link that the consent message places on the page. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalized or limited ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

Visitors from regions with other privacy laws (for example, US states with opt-out rights) may be shown a corresponding message that lets them opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising.

Analytics

By default this site does not use any analytics. If analytics are enabled, a privacy-friendly, cookie-less service (such as Plausible, Umami or Cloudflare Web Analytics) is used to count page views in aggregate. These services do not set cookies, do not track you across websites and do not build a personal profile; they record only aggregated information such as the page visited, the referring site, the browser type and the country derived from your IP address, which is not stored.

Theme preference

If you use the light/dark toggle, your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key theme. It never leaves your device.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data. Because this site does not collect personal data itself, requests concerning advertising data are best directed to Google via the links above. For any other question, contact wont-read@dont-care.com.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site’s advertising or analytics setup changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Every change is recorded in the site’s public Git history.
